Manufacturing Chemist Pharma indicates on continuous processing and Bohle´s new Technology Center;
For many years, L.B. Bohle has focused on continuous pharmaceutical production. With the inauguration of the company’s Technology Center in Ennigerloh, Bohle now offers closed-loop control of the entire process, including production, sensor technology and control.
‘We’re just waiting for FDA clearance,’ said Dr Hubertus Rehbaum, Manager, Scientific Operation at Bohle. ‘But now, there’s no longer a need to develop, install and validate a new production line.’

L.B. Bohle Maschinen + Verfahren from Ennigerloh, Germany, has developed solutions for the continuous production in the pharmaceutical industry. Bohle started off with a continuous granulator and has now come up with a twin-screw extruder with a vacuum contact dryer. The extruder has been tested by scientists at Bonn University. An interview with Prof. Dr. Klaus-Jürgen Steffens on the extruder and tests follows below.
