Interpack and the common exhibition activity with KORSCH was a huge success for the L.B. Bohle Maschinen + Verfahren GmbH.
Find out more about interpack:
In their role as new Managing Directors of L.B. Bohle Maschinen + Verfahren GmbH, Tim Remmert and Thorsten Wesselmann will introduce themselves as the new management duo at the Interpack trade fair. The former Head of Sales and Head of Technology are well-known members of the management board of the Westphalian specialist machine builder. “We stand for continuity,” states Tim Remmert. The joint trade fair appearance with the specialist for tablet presses – the Berlin-based Korsch AG – demonstrates further develop-ment projects and a workshop on continuous production in the autumn of 2017. These steps mark a clear vision for the future of L.B. Bohle.
At first glance, L.B. Bohle Maschinen + Verfahren has gone through major changes in the previous six months: Two new managing directors have taken over operational responsibility from the company founder Lorenz Bohle, who joined the Advisory Board. An even closer cooperation with Korsch AG will be announced at the Interpack trade fair with a joint booth as a sign of comprehensive solution expertise. At the same time, continuous production is being pushed ahead with numerous customer tests at the Technology Center in Ennigerloh. Solid particle production in the pharmaceutical industry is going to reach new dimensions.
“All the changes that can be seen now are the result of consistent, long term development and do by no means represent an abandonment of our previous strategy,” Managing Director Tim Remmert and the owner Lorenz Bohle declare in unison. “We are taking the next important steps,” states Lorenz Bohle. He regards the successful generation change as well as the ongoing development of continuous processes as a good basis for a medium-sized machine building company to compete with global companies in the future.
Workshop at the Technology Center in September
“Through the cooperation with Korsch and Gericke as well as with the universities HHU Düsseldorf, RWTH Aachen and the Rutgers University in New Jersey, L.B. Bohle has prepared the ground for meeting the high requirements of automation,” explains Tim Remmert. The modular combination of individual systems and the integration of cutting-edge measurement and analysis technologies offer optimized solutions for the individual requirements of the pharmaceutical solid dosage industry.
Customers obtained information on the status of continuous production and its benefits at Interpack in hall 17, booth B 43 and B 51. From 19-21 September 2017, L.B. Bohle has organized an international workshop on the development of continuous productions in pharmaceutical production at the Technology Center in Ennigerloh.
On 1 July 1981, the success story of L.B. Bohle Maschinen + Verfahren GmbH began in Ennigerloh, Westphalia. After 35 years in which the company constantly developed further, the business year 2016 was also marked by great success for the independent, medium-sized machine builder. Founder Lorenz Bohle and his team made the company a machine engineering specialist for pharmaceutical solids production. “The turnover for 2016 was very promising", states the company founder Lorenz Bohle. Our extensive machine portfolio for virtually all process steps and our strong position as a coating technology leader allows us to expect further growth for the current year.”
The European Union published the ATEX-guideline in 1994 first and in 2014 an amended version was implemented. The guideline 2014/34/EU covers equipment and safety systems that are used in hazardous areas. Among others, the sieving machines BTS 100 and BTS 200 built by L.B. Bohle belong to the ones the guideline is applicable for. To give their customers the maximum of safety, it is a commitment for L.B. Bohle to undergo this certification process in order to guarantee preventive protection in the hazardous areas.
The Bohle tablet checker KA is used for a mechanical check of the thickness of sugar-coated or film-coated pills, capsules and tablets. Since the 1980s L.B. Bohle has got a huge experience in the checking of tablets. Common for all Bohle tablets checkers are the easy handling and the highest precision. The latest generation of the KA was published at the PMec in Mumbai in November 2016 and was in the focus from the beginning.
New Technology: TriPan Coater BFC 50 Is the Latest Generation and GMA in Combination with the BFS 30 Fluid Bed
L.B. Bohle Maschinen + Verfahren GmbH has installed the new machines at the Service Centre in order to offer its customers the latest machine generation for test trials. The Service Centre was first opened in 2005 at Bohle’s headquarters in Ennigerloh. On more than 500 m², the centre offers numerous possibilities to test new products and develop and optimise processes. A complete pharmaceutical production line is available at the Service Centre to develop and test machines and processes. This makes it possible to work under actual conditions at pilot plant scale. Various measuring, test and analysis equipment supplements the production line.
New Manager Scientific Operations Brings Together Technology and Pharmacy
All it took were two short discussions to sort out the details: Robin Meier (30) joined L.B. Bohle Maschinen + Verfahren GmbH as Manager Scientific Operations on 15 August 2016. Robin Meier, who was born in Essen, explains the pragmatic decisions as follows:
“I knew the company from my doctoral studies in pharmaceutical technology and biopharmaceutics at Düsseldorf University. We had some machines at the institute and the colleagues told me about very interesting and innovative scientific cooperation projects. Moreover, I personally got to know the company and the colleagues at the Service Center in Ennigerloh from the annual APV course on dry granulation.”
The current edition of the Bohle Innovativ has been published.
